GSDO is awarded BTC FWC: “Evaluations of projects and programs of the Belgian Technical Cooperation in the infrastructure sector” (BXL 1404)
For the following 48 months GSDO will provide technical assistance in evaluating the infrastructure sector projects and programs financed by the Belgian Technical Cooperation.
The programs to be evaluated fall under a sectoral approach and have a high degree of complexity.
The main objectives of these evaluations are as follows:
1. The mid-term evaluations which will be carried out in the middle of the implementation period: will reflect the progress of the project/ program implementation and will analyze the degree of achievement of expected results. Will assess the performance of the intervention and will provide information to redirect the intervention to achieve the targeted results.
2. The final evaluations which will be carried out during the closing phase: will analyze in depth the results achieved and will elaborate lessons learned of the intervention. The lessons learned will improve the organizational performance and development performance of the BTC and its partners.
The infrastructure sectors concerned are sanitation, energy, transport, environment and cross-cutting issues and will cover all the African countries where the BTC intervenes.
Among these countries are: Algeria, D.R. Congo, Morocco, Mozambique, Palestine, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania and Uganda.
